Why we included this project

Hallmark is a design skill for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex that pushes back on the default look of AI-generated UI. Instead of letting the model fall back on the template it was trained into, the skill picks a macrostructure for the brief, dresses it in one of twenty themes, and runs fifty-seven slop-test gates plus a self-critique before handing the page back. It also works on existing work: you can audit code against those same anti-patterns, redesign a page while keeping its copy and brand, or feed it a screenshot or URL to extract the design DNA of a site you admire. The result is that two different briefs produce pages that look like different sites, not colour-swaps of one layout. If you build front-ends with an AI coding agent and care about visual craft, the four-verb workflow and the portable design.md handoff are worth knowing about.
