Why we included this project
If you're putting together an AI chat or assistant interface, Lobe UI saves you from building the same chat widgets from scratch. It ships React components plus a library of over 300 model and provider icons, so apps can show proper logos for OpenAI, Anthropic, and other vendors without hand-drawing them. Because everything builds on Ant Design, teams already using that ecosystem can pull in streaming markdown views, conversation bubbles, and other AIGC-specific pieces while keeping styling consistent. The package also handles theming, light/dark mode, and 18 languages out of the box, and it's ESM-only with a documented tweak for Next.js page router SSR. That covers a lot of the unglamorous UI work before you write your own CSS.
