Why we included this project
Botkube puts Kubernetes monitoring where many DevOps teams already spend their day: the chat app. It connects to Slack, Discord, or Mattermost, watches cluster events, and posts context-rich alerts so problems surface without anyone staring at dashboards. Authorized users can run kubectl and helm commands from that same interface, and plugins trigger automated actions, shrinking the gap between noticing an alert and fixing the deployment. Developers get a safe way to debug their own applications without deep Kubernetes knowledge, while platform teams keep control over who can run what. For a small platform team that wants observable operations without building a monitoring stack from scratch, that is a practical shortcut.
