Why we included this project
Running Kubernetes across more than one cluster usually means hopping between kubectl contexts and terminal windows. Kite puts the routine work in one browser-based console: inspecting pods and deployments, editing YAML live, managing Helm releases, and checking real-time CPU and memory charts, with Prometheus wired in per cluster. The AI assistant sits on top of that management surface, handling questions and simple tasks inside the cluster rather than being the point of the product. What makes it usable beyond a personal tool is the governance layer: OAuth, MFA, passkeys, RBAC, and audit logs so a team can trust it as a shared internal console. Teams that already run Prometheus and juggle several clusters are the ones who will get the most out of it.
