Why we included this project

This is a self-hostable Discord bot that turns a single OpenAI API key into a fairly broad toolkit: ChatGPT-style conversations, DALL-E image generation, question answering over your own uploaded documents, and image understanding. Server admins can point it at a community and get useful features out of the box, including AI moderation and a YouTube summarizer, rather than bolting several separate bots together. There is also an optional code-interpreter mode, so members can run and tweak code from inside the channel. Since it ships as a Docker image, a small team can run it on its own hardware and keep control of cost and usage without depending on a hosted service. If your community already lives in Discord, this is one of the more practical ways to put several GPT capabilities in front of members.
