Why we included this project
Anyone running data or analytics agents against a warehouse will appreciate a tool that stops them from guessing at table semantics. ktx gathers approved metric definitions, joinable columns, query history, and business notes into git-tracked files an agent can search and execute, so the SQL it writes starts from measures and joins your team has already vetted. Edits show up as reviewable YAML or Markdown diffs, which keeps the loop honest. It sits alongside dbt, Looker, and Metabase, so you can adopt it without ripping out your current semantic layer. If you've spent afternoons fixing queries that looked right but were wrong, this is aimed at that exact pain.
