Why we included this project

Soul of Waifu treats your AI character as something that lives on your desktop rather than a thread of messages. The app pairs Live2D and VRM avatars with real-time voice chat, and it keeps a single continuous identity and memory across ordinary conversation, tabletop RPG sessions, and everyday desktop use. Since inference can run locally through llama.cpp, the whole experience works offline, which also keeps your chat history on your own machine. That combination of a character front-end and local LLM support makes it an interesting reference point for hobbyists building character-driven roleplay or companion apps, and it ships as a finished release with documentation, not a bare framework.
