Why we included this project

Reins is a native client for people who run Ollama on their own hardware, and it ships for iOS, Android, macOS, Linux, and Windows, so you can keep the same chat front-end across devices. Its main strength is per-conversation control: each chat can have its own system prompt, model, temperature, seed, context size, and token limit, instead of forcing you to work with global defaults. You can also switch models mid-conversation, edit or regenerate messages, and save custom system and chat prompts as reusable models, which helps when you are comparing several local models side by side. Image support and real-time streaming are included, and since everything talks to your own Ollama instance, prompts and history never leave your machines. That makes it a practical choice for teams or hobbyists who want a consistent, private chat interface across desktop and mobile.
