Why we included this project

ChuanhuChatGPT is a Gradio-based chat frontend that works with OpenAI, Azure, Claude, Gemini, and a long list of Chinese and open-weight models, including ones you run locally. So one interface covers both paid APIs and on-prem deployments. That is a real plus if you want to avoid being locked into a single vendor's web app. Beyond plain conversation, it adds file-based question answering, web search, a simple agent assistant, and fine-tuning support, all behind a clean UI with saved, searchable chat history and multi-user isolation. If you want a lightweight self-hosted alternative to heavier chat platforms, or just prefer to keep your own API keys and your own interface, this is a straightforward way to get there.
