Why we included this project
Enso is a visual, low-code environment for data preparation and analysis that turns messy multi-source work into repeatable, inspectable pipelines. It was built by a team that includes an Alteryx co-founder, and it is aimed at the data-heavy corners of finance, accounting, tax, and sales operations, where recurring routines like budget-to-actuals reporting, reconciliations, and commission calculations are a constant. Non-programmers chain cleaning and blending steps on a canvas, while developers can drop into the underlying language when a transformation outgrows a node. A pipeline built locally on sample data can be promoted to run against Snowflake in production, scheduled and versioned automatically, and executed on your own hardware or serverlessly. It is a practical self-hostable alternative to enterprise analytics suites, with transparent pricing and no per-server fees.
