Why we included this project
ChatMCP is a cross-platform chat client built around the Model Context Protocol. It works on desktop, mobile, and in the browser, and instead of locking you to one provider it lets you connect any compatible LLM endpoint. From a dedicated page you can install MCP servers, so the model can call real tools, render artifacts, and work through multi-step tasks. It also handles thinking mode, image generation, LaTeX, and Mermaid diagrams, and syncs data over your local network, which makes it handy for small teams. If you already rely on MCP to give your models live capabilities, this is a solid way to get those tools in a usable chat front-end.
