Why we included this project
Database changes often end up scattered across migration scripts, SQL clients, and ticketing systems. Bytebase pulls that workflow into one web console where changes go through review before deployment, with rollback available and GitOps support, plus over 200 SQL lint rules to catch problems early. It also exposes a Model Context Protocol server, so AI agents can request a query that is reviewed and time-boxed, with masking applied instead of holding raw credentials. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, and others are covered, and the access controls include fine-grained roles and just-in-time grants, plus column-level masking to keep production data safe. For platform engineers and DBAs who want database operations to follow the same discipline as code, this is a practical fit.
