Why we included this project

StyleSeed exists for the people who have watched Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor turn out clean, competent screens that all somehow share the same bland look. Instead of handing the agent a wall of instructions, it installs 23 skills that stand up a design system, then a scored gate that refuses to show any screen until it has been visually checked and scores above the bar. That render-to-score-to-revise loop is the part that matters: the project's own benchmarks show raw rules alone are inconsistent, while the enforced gate improves both Codex and Claude Code by a measured margin. For a solo developer or small team without a designer on staff, this is a practical way to lock in a consistent look without hand-maintaining it across every new screen and session.
