Why we included this project
TypeUI exists to stop AI coding assistants from turning out generic-looking screens. It bundles design systems, UI prompts, and layout variation guidance as markdown files you can hand to Codex, Claude, Cursor, Grok, or any other tool that will read markdown or plain prompts. Bring your own design tokens and the assistant applies them consistently instead of guessing at a look. Setup is reasonably painless thanks to the MCP server and per-tool plugins, and because everything is plain markdown, you are not locked into one vendor. Front-end developers and small product teams who want repeatable, on-brand AI-generated UI will get the most out of it.
