Why we included this project

Designers and front-end developers who want AI coding agents to match an existing site's look will find this extension genuinely useful. Point it at any live page, and it pulls the visual signals that define the interface, then turns them into a DESIGN.md or SKILL.md file based on the open-source TypeUI DESIGN.md format. That output works directly with Claude Code, Codex, and Google Stitch, so the spec isn't locked into a proprietary toolchain. The generated document goes beyond raw tokens, covering brand context, accessibility requirements, writing tone, and explicit implementation rules, which is what lets an agent actually follow the design rather than approximate it. It's a focused productivity tool for keeping AI-generated UI visually consistent, not a general-purpose design system.
