Why we included this project
Aix-DB answers plain-language questions about your data by generating SQL, running it against your real databases, and returning the results as charts. Teams that would rather not hand-write queries get a working ChatBI assistant out of the box. The project is built on LangChain and LangGraph with an MCP multi-agent layer, and it leans on a Neo4j knowledge graph and RAG to work out which tables are relevant before it runs the SQL it generated against sources such as PostgreSQL or ClickHouse. There is also a CLI for asking questions from the terminal and a Skill mode for packaging repeatable analysis workflows. For data analysts and small teams that want a self-hosted assistant rather than a cloud BI subscription, this is a solid open-source base, and the Docker image makes it easy to get going.
