Why we included this project

If your daily work happens in a terminal that lives on a Mac or a dev box, VibeTunnel is a low-friction way to reach those sessions from a browser, no SSH keys, port forwarding, or key management to stand up. It runs as a small macOS menu-bar app, with an npm package for Linux and headless machines, and proxies live terminal output into a web dashboard. A vt wrapper command streams a build, test run, or long-running script to a page you can watch from anywhere, which makes it useful for checking on an AI agent session like Claude Code while you step away, and for sharing a working session with a colleague without the usual network setup. Session recording, a git-follow mode that tracks your IDE's branch, and access choices from localhost-only to password-protected or Tailscale/ngrok give you control over how exposed those terminals are.
