Why we included this project

For Android teams that want a voice interface without standing up speech recognition and intent parsing themselves, Alan's SDK is a practical shortcut. It drops a hosted conversational agent into a Java or Kotlin app, so users can speak commands or questions that get matched against dialog scripts you write in Alan Studio. Wake-word detection, streaming speech-to-text, and spoken replies all run on Alan's side, leaving your team to define the conversation flow and hook it to app actions. The repo includes example apps that show how this works in practice, and the Maven artifact slots into a normal Gradle build. If you'd rather lean on a managed backend than run your own ASR and NLU stack, this is a solid fit.
