Why we included this project

AingDesk puts local models and cloud APIs behind a single desktop chat interface, a welcome change if you've been juggling several separate tools. It's an Electron app that bundles a local knowledge base so answers can draw on your own documents, along with web search and a simple agent builder that doesn't require much coding. You can share a workspace so other people can use what you've configured, and the MCP client lets the assistant reach external tools without heavy setup. The client runs on macOS and Windows, with a Docker-based server option for teams that want it hosted, which makes it a practical pick for individuals and small groups who'd rather have one working assistant than a stack of tools to maintain.
