Why we included this project

TUUI is worth a look if you deal with more than one LLM provider and would rather talk to all of them from a single desktop app than juggle browser tabs. It runs on Electron and Vue, connects to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, and lets you drop in an API key and start chatting without signing up for another service. The MCP support is the part that stands out: the chat window can call the MCP tools and servers you configure, so a plain assistant turns into something that can actually act. That dual role makes it handy both as an everyday client and as a quick way to smoke-test your own MCP servers before you wire them into a larger product. And because it is local and self-contained, teams that do not want conversations and keys living in a hosted workspace can keep everything on their own machine.
