CADAM

Why we included this project

With CADAM, you describe a part in plain English or drop in a reference image, and it produces a parametric 3D model right in the browser using WebAssembly. You don't need a heavy CAD package, which makes it handy for engineers and makers who want to go from idea to printable geometry fast. The model is generated as OpenSCAD source with editable dimensions, so you can adjust a length or hole size with sliders after generation instead of re-prompting. Exports cover .STL, .SCAD, and .DXF, enough for most 3D printing and fabrication work. The included benchmarks, from a V8 engine to a threaded jar with a screw-on lid, give a concrete sense of what the underlying model can produce before you invest time in it.
