Why we included this project

People who want the convenience of a Canva-style editor but don't want their creative work parked on a hosted cloud service will find Jaaz worth a look. It's an Electron desktop app that pairs a canvas design surface with on-device image and video generation: you can paint on it, point at regions, and have the AI read your intent into finished visuals instead of writing prompt text. The stack runs Stable Diffusion and Flux-class models through ComfyUI, which makes sense for people who already operate their own local generation pipeline, and it supports both fully offline and hybrid setups (Ollama plus cloud APIs). The one-sentence prompt path for short-form video is aimed at social content production. Before any team deployment, check the community/commercial dual license, because multi-user or modified use requires the paid edition.
