Why we included this project
SoloMD is a local-first markdown editor built on Tauri and Vue where AI agents work as part of the writing surface, not an add-on. Your notes stay as plain .md files in a folder, and the bundled MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex read and edit that same vault directly. Live preview and wikilinks work the way you'd expect from tools like Typora or Obsidian, with AI keys in your OS keychain, on-device embeddings, and 14 providers all bring-your-own-key, so nothing needs a hosted account. Writers and researchers who want an LLM to summarize, translate, or rewrite inside their notes get an agent panel and scheduled recipe runs without shipping their files anywhere.
