Why we included this project

ZeroClaw is a self-hosted agent runtime: one Rust binary you configure and run, and it becomes a personal AI assistant that stays on your hardware. It talks to roughly twenty LLM providers and reaches users through more than thirty channels, from Discord and Telegram to email and webhooks, and it acts through tools like the shell, a browser, HTTP, and custom MCP servers. Because everything runs with your own keys, developers and small teams can deploy it anywhere without sending data to a hosted service. The default autonomy is supervised, with approval gates, workspace boundaries, OS-level sandboxes, and cryptographic receipts on every tool action, while a YOLO mode exists for trusted dev boxes. That mix of provider flexibility and local control makes it a practical base for wiring an assistant into your own infrastructure.
