Why we included this project
SysMocap turns an ordinary webcam into a motion-capture rig that drives a 3D virtual character in real time from your own movement. It targets VTubers, streamers, and AR/VR hobbyists who want to animate an avatar without shelling out for dedicated mocap suits or hardware. The desktop app runs on Windows and macOS; you drag 3D models into the window, it auto-detects skeletons, and manual bone mapping covers rigs it can't recognize. It handles full-body, half-body, and facial tracking, and can forward motion data over WebXR or feed a virtual camera into OBS for live streaming. For anyone setting up a stream avatar or wanting to animate characters from plain video input, that is a complete pipeline in a single application.
