Why we included this project

MrRSS suits people who still trust RSS but want their feeds to read like a curated briefing rather than an overflowing inbox. The desktop app runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and handles the busywork: it translates titles and article content, condenses items into short summaries, and flags recommendations, so you can triage a large feed list without opening every story. Subscriptions come in several flavors, including plain URLs, XPath rules, scripts, and newsletters, and plugin hooks can push items into Obsidian, Notion, or FreshRSS while custom filters and scripts control what gets through. That combination serves both personal readers with many subscriptions and small teams that want a scriptable news pipeline they fully control. If you prefer headless operation, a server mode exposes the same reading and automation features through an API that AI agents can drive directly.
