Why we included this project
3DGenStudio is a desktop app that keeps the whole 3D asset chain in one place, so you can go from a text prompt to a textured, rigged, game-ready mesh without switching tools. It runs ComfyUI workflows and calls external mesh and API services for text-to-image, image editing, mesh generation, UV unwrapping, texturing, auto-rigging, retopology, and animation retargeting, then finishes the job in a mesh editor with bake, game-ready, and LOD/collision export modes. The graph, kanban, and batch project views plus an MCP server make it easy to build repeatable, shareable pipelines, which suits small studios and solo developers who want a self-hosted alternative to paid 3D generation SaaS. Development is steady, with new models and features landing regularly in the changelog. One thing to check before adopting it: the custom community license lets you own and sell the outputs, but you can't resell or host the software itself as a paid service.
