Why we included this project
Modly turns a single photo or a text prompt into a 3D mesh, with open source models such as Hunyuan3D and TripoSG running entirely on your own GPU. Nothing leaves the machine, and the desktop app works on Windows, Linux, and Apple Silicon. A workflow editor lets you chain steps like image-to-mesh and add-to-scene, while a built-in CLI lets scripts or automation agents trigger generation and export GLB files from the same running app, so one local setup serves both interactive and scripted use. Imported meshes can also be smoothed and decimated in-app, which makes this a practical choice for artists and developers who want a repeatable, local asset pipeline instead of an online service.
