Why we included this project

Dexter shows what happens when an agent is built for one domain instead of stretched across everything. It takes a financial question, turns it into a structured research plan, pulls live market data like income statements and balance sheets, then checks and refines its own work before answering. Developers and analysts curious about how task planning, self-reflection, and tool selection fit together will find the codebase a useful reference, and the built-in evaluation suite with an LLM-as-judge makes it easy to tell whether a change actually helps. The project is explicitly educational and informational, not a trading tool, so treat it as a model for building research agents rather than as investment advice.
