Why we included this project
This is a reference map for the Java ecosystem rather than something you install: a broad, well-organized index of frameworks, libraries, and example projects. It started as a fork of the classic awesome-java list, reworked with a cleaner structure, license and star details on every entry, and a steady stream of newer projects that push the coverage past the usual roundup. The real payoff is how it sorts hundreds of libraries by job, so web development, databases and search, machine learning and NLP, testing, build tooling, and even full open-source Java applications each have their own corner. That makes it easy to find a candidate library for a specific problem without bouncing between scattered GitHub searches, and the bundled hello-world examples show how a framework is meant to be used. Treat it as a starting point for discovery and comparison, not as something to deploy, and you will save real time when scoping a Java stack.
