Why we included this project

Teams that already run OpenClaw (formerly Clawdbot and Moltbot) but would rather not manage it from a terminal will find ClawX a comfortable middle ground. It bundles the OpenClaw runtime inside an Electron app, so you get the same agent core without a separate install, and replaces hand-edited YAML with a guided setup wizard, visual settings, and automatic gateway process management. The chat view handles multiple workspaces, streams Markdown with syntax-highlighted code and LaTeX math, and routes conversations between agents through @agent mentions. Beyond chatting, it adds cron-based scheduling, per-channel account binding, and local skill management, which makes it a practical day-to-day control panel for teams that automate workflows through messaging channels. People who want finer control can still drop into Developer Mode for raw configuration.
