Why we included this project

OpenSwarm is aimed at small engineering teams that want AI to finish tickets, not just discuss them. It pulls issues from Linear or its own built-in tracker and fans them out as parallel coding jobs, each run by a Worker/Reviewer pair in an isolated git worktree. The workers can run on OpenAI Codex, any OpenRouter model, local models through Ollama or LM Studio, or Claude Code, and a cost-aware router picks the cheapest model it thinks can handle each task. Agents keep per-repository knowledge in LanceDB, so they get more useful on a codebase the longer they work in it, and finished work lands in Discord, Slack, Telegram, or a webhook. The project also publishes a SWE-bench Lite result from the official harness, which is a useful sanity check on whether the pipeline actually resolves real issues before you wire it into your workflow.
