Why we included this project

For video editors, the appeal here is that the whole pipeline stays on your own hardware. Whisper, Moonshine, and Parakeet run locally through whisper-rs and ONNX Runtime, so nothing gets uploaded to a cloud service, and the resulting captions land directly in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or After Effects without copy-paste friction. There is also an SRT or plain text export if you prefer to finish captions elsewhere. Speaker diarization tells you who said what so you can style each speaker's lines differently, and the optional translation step covers more than a hundred languages. You can run it as a desktop app or from the command line, with installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux, which makes it a practical fit for a solo editor or a small team captioning a lot of footage.
