Why we included this project

DeepChat is a desktop client that keeps your AI work local while giving you a single window into OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and locally run Ollama models, so you can stop hopping between browser tabs. Beyond plain chat, it handles agent work: full Model Context Protocol support, installable Skills you can swap with tools like Claude Code and Cursor, and native ACP agent integration. The Tape and Trace session system is the part worth knowing about, because it makes long-running agent tasks recoverable and inspectable, letting you resume context and check token budgets when things get tangled. Developers and small teams who want an everyday AI front end that can also be driven remotely from Telegram or Feishu will get real use out of it.
