Why we included this project

Design teams that ship After Effects animations to more than one platform usually face a choice between exporting per platform or rebuilding motion graphics by hand. libpag sidesteps that by being the official rendering library for PAG files, a compact binary format that decodes roughly ten times faster than equivalent JSON assets and is about half the size, while holding vector and raster content plus embedded audio or video in a single file. The same library renders natively on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, OpenHarmony, and in the browser, so one exported animation can cover your whole product surface without maintaining separate renderers. Runtime editing APIs let you restructure layers, merge multiple PAG files into one composition, or swap text and images on the fly, which is handy for template-style features like video customization. It's already powering animation in WeChat, QQ, and other high-traffic Tencent apps, so it's a credible choice when you want consistent playback from a designer-authored pipeline.
