Why we included this project
Screenize is a macOS-native screen recorder that automates the tedious parts of making demo and tutorial videos: rather than hand-keyframing every zoom, it watches your cursor and clicks while you record, then generates camera moves and effects on a multi-track timeline you can still edit afterward. That combination appeals to indie hackers, course creators, and support teams who want Screen Studio-style output without paying for a commercial tool. The auto-zoom has two modes: a real-time cursor follower with spring physics, and an activity-aware planner that reacts to typing, clicking, scrolling, and dragging, with every generated keyframe left adjustable. It also layers in click ripples, keystroke badges, gradient backgrounds, rounded corners, and motion blur, and exports to MP4, ProRes MOV, or GIF up to 4K. Development is currently paused, so treat it as a stable, usable tool rather than an actively evolving one.
