Why we included this project

For teams that live in Notion and run an MCP-compatible assistant such as Claude Desktop, this server is a practical way to let the agent work inside the workspace directly. It handles the day-to-day chores: searching, reading pages, inspecting data source schemas, querying data, and editing common block types. Keep the raw Notion API tools around for anything the simplified tools cannot express, and the compact responses mean less risk of blowing past model context limits. Setup rides on a normal Notion integration, and you can scope capabilities so the agent only gets read, insert, or update access as needed. Teams tired of copying pages back and forth between Notion and their AI client will find it a genuine bridge rather than a demo project.
