Why we included this project

Sourcerer turns your git history into something you can actually show people. Point it at a repository and it picks out the languages and libraries in the code, down to per-line usage, then builds a visual profile instead of dumping raw numbers at you. That is useful if you are assembling a portfolio page for a job hunt, freelancing and want a quick skills summary to share, or managing a team and want a digest of what a contributor has worked on without reading every repo. Private repositories are handled locally: only statistical summaries go to the service, never the source code itself. One honest caveat: the project has not been updated since 2020, so treat it as a reference for how profile generation can work rather than something you would build your workflow on today.
