Why we included this project

Anyone who has watched a film where the subtitles drift out of sync knows how fast that ruins the experience. FFsubsync fixes it automatically: it analyzes the video's audio track, works out where speech actually happens, and shifts the subtitle file to the right starting point, so you never have to edit timestamps by hand. It is language-agnostic, so the same tool handles subtitles in any language. You can run it as a command-line tool for scripted or bulk jobs, or use the browser version, which needs no installation and keeps your files on your own machine. For video editors, subtitle maintainers, and anyone sitting on a large media library full of mismatched caption files, it solves a very common annoyance.
