Why we included this project
Running several AI coding agents at once usually means juggling skills scattered across GitHub repos and markdown files you copy around by hand. SkillsGate pulls the public skills.sh catalog into a searchable interface, so you can find a skill and install it to one agent or several with a click, without touching the others. Per-agent control matters here: adding a skill to Claude Code leaves Cursor and Windsurf untouched. The built-in editor shows rendered skill content or lets you edit the raw source before it saves to disk, and the desktop app plus a keyboard-driven terminal UI cover both GUI and headless setups, with SSH support for syncing skills to remote machines. If your team standardizes on a shared set of agent skills, the local SQLite storage and private-skill sharing keep everyone on the same setup.
