Why we included this project

Whisper has grown into a whole ecosystem of tools, and this list is the fastest way to see what is out there without running a dozen separate GitHub searches. It collects the official OpenAI resources alongside the main implementation variants, faster-whisper, WhisperX, whisper.cpp, and the JAX ports, so you can weigh speed, timestamp accuracy, and diarization support before committing to one.
