Why we included this project

Row-Bot is a desktop assistant built around keeping your data on your machine: it runs local models through Ollama, or you can opt into cloud providers per task, and durable app data stays local by default. The more interesting part is the agent workflow, where a parent agent can spin up scoped child agents for research or review, with checkpoints and work budgets that keep long, repetitive runs visible and recoverable instead of drifting. It also reaches outside the chat window, with browser and shell automation, scheduled tasks, custom tools, and voice, so it behaves more like a persistent operator than a chat box. Anyone who wants a private, self-hosted assistant with real autonomy and is willing to configure tools will find the multi-device access and agent profiles worth a look.
