Why we included this project
LaTeX users who need more than Overleaf offers can spin up a full TeX Live environment in a VSCode dev container or GitHub Codespace, right in the browser. Git integration and live collaboration come built in, so a paper moves from draft to compile without shuttling between separate apps. GitHub Copilot handles suggestions while Grammarly or LanguageTool catch grammar issues, covering the two tasks writers most want automated. Since everything runs inside a codespace, the same setup reproduces on any machine or for a whole team. For anyone writing journals, theses, or resumes who wants editor-level control without leaving the browser, this removes most of the setup work.
