Why we included this project

Most AI assistants start each request from scratch. Rowboat instead keeps a knowledge graph of your email, meetings, Slack, and assistant conversations, stored as plain Markdown on your machine, and uses that accumulated context to draft emails, prepare for meetings, and take notes. The built-in surfaces are the interesting part: a dedicated email client, a meeting note-taker, an isolated browser, and a code mode that can run parallel coding agents through Claude Code or Codex. You can also schedule background agents to fire on events or a timer and extend the whole thing with MCP tools. Since the data lives on your machine in an inspectable vault, it's a reasonable pick for teams or individuals who want AI help without shipping their working context to a hosted service.
