Why we included this project

icm-architect is a Claude skill built around the idea that a folder structure can do the work of orchestration code. Give it a process, an idea, or a messy folder, and it scaffolds an ICM workspace where numbered folders carry sequencing, hierarchy carries context scoping, and plain markdown files carry state, so one agent reading the right files at the right moment does what a multi-agent framework would. It can also rework an existing folder, repo, or vault, classifying every file and proposing a migration map for approval before moving anything. Every result is validated with a walk test, where a fresh agent with no memory has to orient, act, and report status using only the files. For anyone who has watched an agent setup turn into obscure plumbing, this is a concrete, opinionated alternative that keeps the system's logic visible in a plain folder.
