Why we included this project

Kimaki is a practical bridge for teams that already live in Discord and want to run coding agents without leaving the chat, hooking into OpenCode and mapping your work onto Discord's natural structure: each channel is a project directory, each thread is one coding session. You can start an agent, watch it edit code on your machine, and switch between projects or tasks just by switching channels and threads. The orchestration layer adds things plain OpenCode can't do, like queued follow-up messages, forking a session into a parallel thread to ask a clarifying question, scheduled runs, and worktrees that isolate a session from your main checkout. It also lets you authenticate with your existing Claude or ChatGPT subscriptions instead of paying per token, and it supports voice notes, inline images, and shell commands from the chat. Teams that want a phone-friendly way to kick off and supervise coding work, or that prefer a self-hosted bot over a hosted SaaS, will find the setup quick and the model-agnostic design practical.
