Why we included this project

Long physics problems rarely fit in one chat session: context gets dropped, intermediate steps never get checked, and the next session starts from a blank context. Get Physics Done (GPD) tackles that by loading a structured research workflow into the coding agent you already run, whether that is Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI. It takes a research question through scoping, planning, derivation, verification, and packaging, and it keeps missing evidence or unproduced artifacts visible instead of quietly papering over them. For graduate students, lab members, and small research teams, that means having an AI collaborator who checks the math like a critical advisor rather than a confident autocomplete. Supervised checkpoints keep you in control, and the recovery and resume commands cope with the interruptions that real long-horizon projects bring.
