Why we included this project

Wan2.2 users in ComfyUI who work with 4-step LoRAs like lightx2v often end up with clips that feel sluggish, since those fast LoRAs tend to produce a slow-motion effect. PainterI2V is a drop-in replacement for the stock WanImageToVideo node, so it slots into an existing workflow without any rework. It boosts motion by scaling the motion vectors 15-50% while protecting luminance, and it uses zero-latent initialization to keep the temporal dependency chain that 4-step LoRAs depend on. A single motion_amplitude parameter, defaulting to 1.15, controls how much movement you get, and the README offers starting points for different kinds of scenes. It is a narrow, single-purpose node rather than a general framework, but for anyone doing single-frame Wan2.2 animation it fixes a common quality complaint with very little setup.
