Why we included this project

People learning iOS security testing often struggle to find a safe place to practice, and this app exists to fill that gap. DVIA-v2 is an intentionally vulnerable Swift app that bundles fifteen separate vulnerability classes, including jailbreak detection, runtime manipulation, broken cryptography, phishing, and IPC issues, each set up as a hands-on exercise with a solution. That breadth suits both students who want guided practice and trainers who need a consistent lab instead of pointing learners at real-world apps. You run it on your own device or simulator and probe it with the usual iOS tooling, so the work closely mirrors real assessment. The vulnerabilities were tested up to iOS 11 and development has slowed, but it remains one of the most commonly used iOS practice apps for building skills.
