Why we included this project
Students taking proctored exams on Iamneo, NPTEL, or HackerRank often hit portals that block tab switching, copy-paste, and screen sharing. NeoPass is a Chrome extension that works around those restrictions, and it also bundles an AI assistant that can search for answers and solve multiple-choice questions using your own OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude API key, with a chatbot that keeps running even while exam software is watching. For developers curious about how browser-based proctoring locks are actually enforced, the extension is a working example of what those measures can and cannot stop. Its whole point is to circumvent exam security, though, so anyone thinking of using or extending it should check their institution's academic-integrity rules first. A paid tier adds managed AI and additional bypass modes.
